Players in Education brings high-quality performing arts training directly into primary schools, offering engaging and structured after-school workshops in a familiar and supportive environment. Led by our experienced teaching team, each course runs over a half-term and is carefully designed to ensure pupils are supported, challenged and developing their skills week by week.
Through a combination of acting, storytelling and performance-based activities, pupils explore character development, script work, improvisation and communication skills, while also building confidence, creativity and stage awareness. Every programme works towards a final outcome, with pupils taking part in an end-of-term performance or film where they can showcase their progress and celebrate their achievements.
Our Performing Arts Days offer schools a unique opportunity to bring an immersive, high-energy performing arts experience directly into the school day.Led by our professional teaching team, these workshops are carefully structured to engage all pupils, regardless of experience, while maintaining a strong focus on creativity, participation and enjoyment.
Across the day, students take part in a variety of activities including drama, movement and performance-based exercises. They explore storytelling, character development and teamwork, building confidence as they contribute ideas and work collaboratively with their peers.
Each session is tailored to suit the age group and ability of the pupils, ensuring that every child feels supported while also being encouraged to step outside their comfort zone. The day typically builds towards a final sharing or performance, giving pupils the opportunity to showcase what they have created and celebrate their achievements in a fun and inclusive environment.
We are excited to be launching our next Players in Education course with a focus on Film & Television performance.
This course introduces pupils to a different style of acting, helping them understand the key differences between stage and screen performance, whilst focusing on techniques such as; Acting for camera, Naturalistic performance techniques, Working with scripts for film and TV, Camera awareness and on-screen presence.
The course will build towards a filmed outcome, giving pupils the opportunity to see their work on screen and develop confidence in a new performance setting.
